Rock ON Project

The members in my team are Calvin, Cody, and me. Next, we took pictures of our group and and chose the best one and we were all looking at the same thing so it was an ok picture but i thing it could have been better. The we made the logo for our rap group which is basically an interstate sign. We decided to come up with our group name and we picked, "Spring Branch 080" mainly because thats where we all live. The next thing we did was find who was going to sponsor us for our up coming tour. We searched around an decided to use the new relaxing beverage called "DRANK", its the opposite of an energy drink. We thought it was a good idea to name our tour, Drank, Slow Your Roll North American Tour. We plotted out our tour but Calvin did most of the typing and me and cody told him where we were going and what times we wanted to perform at. We plotted twenty cities for our tour. We put all of our ticket prices and information on a link to a new page. Next, we mage the tour bus, it was simple, we just put rims on it and our name on the side so people will know who we are and which city we are in and that is a little bit of our advertising. Our interior of the bus is extra luxurious and comfurtable which is what we need for a 20 city Tour. Then we made the new cd cover for our album, "Da Branch". and we came up with names of the tracks which was pretty fun. Then we made the poster for our concerts in houston because that is our last stop and its our favorite city. For our sway desighn t-shirt, We put our logo and our sponcor on it, and of course our name so we can get more out there and known. Cody made a poster which have a popped trunk car on there with our name inside the trunk which came out to look really good. The stage we used for our project was the stage the Toyota Center in Houston usually used for there concerts. And last was our backstage pass which is very simple because it is just a back stage pass and it didnt need to have a lot of stuff on there. Overall, I thought the project was fun because we kind of got to be someone else for a change and make up our different life which was a rap group which i think is pretty cool

SPRING BREAK

My spring break wasn't as good as last year but it was still good. my brothers brother arryn came into town from college and stayed at my brother andrues house so i was over there a lot of the time. I don't want to tell you a lot of what i did over the break because i don't think the school would like it. On Friday, my brother and his friend Robert that I've known my whole life gave me and arryn their season tickets to the rockets game. the seats where on the upper deck but in the front row.Robert works for bud light and he was working at the stadium. so he came and got us at half-time and took us down to the lower level, he knows a lady that checks your tickets before you go down to your seats so she said go ahead and we sat down and had some fun with the people next to us. i know that most people are suppose to sleep a lot over spring break, but i didn't, i felt like i was wasting the day if i slept in too late.

Superbowl commercial

I chose the pepsi max commercial from the 2009 superbowl. I think that it targets the younger male market with demographics.it uses the four P's of the marketing mix. it has the product, it give me a price or anything. i thought that it was a good commercial because i remember it and i know what it is trying to say which is that the pepsi is supposably more manly.

Taco Bell advertisment

Taco Bell always has new dishes for everybody to try. the food isnt good for people who are trying to lose weight but it is good for the people who injoy mexican food on the go or when you are short on time.

How the Key Functions are interrelated

The ke interrelated because you need all of them to start and run your own business. first of all, you have to have the product which is what you are going to sell. then you need a way to get it out to your customers which is distribution. your also have to figure out a way to sell your product. then you have your marketing information managment which is gathering up all the information of your business and and it could help you run your business better and most likely make more money. You have to have financing so you can get your business up and running. You are also going to have to figure out a price for your product that cant be too high to the point where people dont even want to buy it because they cant afford it, and not too cheap to where you dont make any money off of whatever you are going to be sellind.The last thing you are most likely going to need is promotion which is how you are going to get your product and business know. This could be done by advertising and things like that, anything to make people know about your business and make them want to buy your product.

The Best AD...

This was my favorite Superbowl commercial, its the talking babies because i think its funny when the baby starts singing Broken Wings and the white baby gets annoyed at him.also the baby kind of looks like my nefew.Its an etrade comercial thats telling you to go on there website and do what ever you want with your stock.

Just playing the game....

The game was pretty fun but it was hard because the supplies we had were hard to transport the water and the salt. somehow our water got tainted with salt and it looked really dirty but at least we got most of the water and salt in the cups. some people were messing everybody up, it was funny but it made it even harder to get our product across the class room. it took forever to get the water to the other cup because we basically only had a straw, a spoon and a paper towel that was leaking water but somehow we managed to get both products across the class room in some what of a safe manner.

My new Team

I think we chose each other because we can all do equal work. i dont think that only one person will be left to do all the work all the time. we all make good grades in most of our classes, i have known cody since elementary school when we both went to cedar brook. i just found out that we used to hate each other for some reason that i cant remember but now were cool and we both cant really remember much about elementary school anyway.

OUR 1ST PROJECT

If you looked at our project, it would probably make you hungry, well thats if you like mexican food. We decide to do our project on chuy's Tex Mex restaurant because we were thinking about what are favorite foods were and we all said Mexican, and we decide to pick Chuy's because that place probably has had the best Tex Mex we have ever tasted. On the poster, we had the name of the restaurant, the map of where it is located, our prices which was all entrees are under 10 dollars, and we had a few of our delicious dishes on there and that is whats going to make you hungry.

ITS ALL ME....

ok..im going to tell you about me. the main type of food I love to eat is Mexican food and Italian food mostly because my family is Italian. I like to listen to rap music the most, my favorite artist is Z-ro, i put a sound system in my car because i love loud music and the main thing i like to do in my car is ride with the windows down and blast the music. I watch family guy basically whenever it comes on tv because it is so freaking funny mainly because its stupid. My favorite charactor on Family Guy is the baby stewie because he is super evil and wants to take over the world.
My favorite subject in school would have to be English because i am good at writing whenever i have somthing that i care about and want to write about it. I excel best in my science class because it is easy for me and i love the teacher. My strengths in school is visual learning, what i mean is that i can see the teacher teach somthing on the board and i can learn it, but if its on paper, its hard. Another one of my weaknesses is that i can only do good on the test about 50% of the time, the rest of the time i fail horribly for some reason. I dont study for test, maybe thats the reason i dont pass a lot of them, but i think if the teacher is teaching right then you shouldn't have to study.
The thing i would want to learn most in this class is how to advertise, because if i want to start my own business someday then i would wnat to know how to advertise it.
I think work should be devided equally in our group because it would make me feel bad for the person who does all the work or i would get mad if I realized i was doing all the work.
I would make a good team member because i dont like to fail at anything i do, i am creative most of the time depending on what day it is. another reason is that i can get along with almost anybody.

I liked the video, the food looked good. i liked the way the brothers started the restaurant by combining what they love and good food. it was a good idea to give food away at major sporting events that way everybody would know who they are and how good their food is. if they keep marketing like they are doing now, they might be able to have hundreds of restaurants all over the great surf spots.

well, they have the fish tacos. they have a place to make them and sell them and they hand the tacos out at sporting events. they are affordable and have a lot of food. they are spreading rapidly.

WHO AM I ?

ok, my name is Sean Barnes and i am currently a student at spring woods high school. I was born, raised and still living in Houston Texas. I try to represent Houston in any way that i can even though i were hollister california shirts but i try to make it even by wearing houston hats and other stuff like that. I drive a 2003 mitsubishi galant that my brother gave to me last summer when he got his Tahoe. well, he didnt really GIVE it to me, he just switched the billing address so that i would make the payments. The only bad thing about having a car is that everybody wants a ride, the only thing they have to do is give me gas money. A few of my friends have vehicles to so we all park in the same place in the school parking lot and hang out there after school until we find something to do. I love to go out on the weekends, no matter who im with i just have to get out of the house on the weekend because i feel like i am missing something. i love loud music so i decided to put a system in my car. a lot of times i like to roll down the windows and turn up the bass on my subs and just blast it as loud as i want i dont care what other people think. well thats all i think i am aloud to talk about because everything has to be, "good for school".

what i expect to learn.

I want to learn how to use the computers better at this school because they annoy the crap out of me because they never do what i want them to do. This is my first blog i have ever made in my life so i dont really know what im doing. I guess what i hope to learn in this class is obviously sports marketing. i want to learn how to advertise my favorite teams, of course my favorite sports teams are all from Houston where i was born and raised and i am still here. I would like to make advertisments for the Astros baseball team, the Rockets basketball team, and the football team, the Texans. well, i dont have much else to say about this class other than i hope its better than any other of my computer classes i have had over the years.......
